It gets around 50 feet flat or so. It's good enough considering it wouldn't even shoot regular taggers before.

Aell, when i decide whether or not i want to arm myself to the teeth that day, i start to load up.

Armed to the teeth Grin:magstrike/rf20, 2 nightfinders, 1 disk shooting gun and a ttg, and lots of darts

Not so armed to the teeth Cheesy: Magstrike, dsg, maybe a nf.

It changes around a lot.

Mag-Strike Clip Modification (CPVC)
Putting PVC in your Mag clips drastically increases the overall range and power of your Magstrike.

What you will need:

-Pair of needlenose plyers
-Butter knife
-Hot glue/Hot glue gun
-Flat screwdriver
-Sandpaper(maybe if you mess up)
-Hammer
-Pipecutter/Hacksaw
-CPVC Pipe

OK lets get started. Pick up your clip, take your plyers, pull out the AR sticks and then flip over the clip and bore out the other pieces of plastic in the back like so. Ok that was the obvious and easy part.

Now the PVC part. Ok turn your clip over and locate the small slit in the back (look at the pic)
Take a butter knife and slide it under the piece carefully, don’t do it too fast otherwise you will break it(the plastic is very thin). All right now that is off you will see the bottom of the default barrels, flip it over to the top again now and use the flat screwdriver to separate the barrels from the side of the clip. Do it slowly and carefully if you break the outside of the clip it will be beyond help.....After that the barrels should come out rather easily....

Ok now you have a empty clip cut the CPVC pipes, you can make them a little longer than the original barrels. Now put the bottom flat piece that we removed earlier back on keep it pressed on a table so it stays even....Now hot glue the barrels in from the inside. There your done!

If for some reason the clip does not fit into the gun, sand the back of the clip until it fits into the gun.

Knowledge is Your Best Bet!

In any Nerf War there is going to be variables.  Loads of different variables if it is a good field of play.  Now to use all of these different variables to your advantage depends entirely on your knowledge.  Your knowledge of yourself, your weapons, and your enemy, and the environment is all key to winning in a Nerf War.  To know yourself is to practice often.  Knowing how fast you can run, how well you can aim and your general bravery.

Knowing your physical abilities is important.  In any situation where you have to get from Point A to Point B while getting shot at is a time when you want to get there fast, or with a degree of stealth.  Let’s say that you are in a forest like environment.  You may want to pick a path that puts the most trees between you and your attackers.  If you are trying to get to somewhere far away and there is sparse, but good cover you will want to run to the cover and use it like waypoints.  Another important ability is to be able to aim.  If you can’t aim, you can’t hit anything.  Practice often to improve this skill.  Try taking running and gunning practice.  The last main attribute is your general demeanor.  If you aren’t a GIT R DUN person then hang back and take the good shots.  If you are a GIT R DUN person then run around shirtless doing action rolls and taking random potshots without a primary.  If neither of these are you, then find a happy median.

Knowing you weapons is important.  If you think your Crossbow is full auto 30 yard killing machine, think again.  Know your optimum ranges for each gun you use.  Also know your ROF.  If you have a high ROF gun then you want to get closer where you can fend them off as they come.  Try to stick to more uneven ground for you can run and gun with efficiency.  If you ROF is slow, like an SM5K, then hang back, try to find a good hidey-hole.  Then take every shot that presents itself.  Use the accuracy.  If you are hauling around 2 RF20s, or the equivalent, then get in real close and unleash a massive burst of foamy death with one and use the other to defend yourself while you reload.  You like close combat.  Barrel tapping should occur with some frequency for you.

Know your enemy.  If you know one of the guys on the other team has deadly accuracy and you are in the open, MOVE!  Try and anticipate what they are doing.  Don’t let any person on the opposite team get settled in where they want to be.  That’s bad for you.  Try scare tactics.  They work occasionally.  Make them retreat to hard to traverse conditions.  Have them advance into the open where a good ambush point is.  Work them against nature.

And finally know the terrain.  If you know that the field has lots of cover use it, don’t abuse standing in the middle of a field scratching the front of your back.  You <3 Cover.  Try and work yourself into a flanking position by moving the other team or isolating them with rushes.  If you know where the good ambush positions are, use them.  If you can go around and take 2 guys out with an RF20 then do it.  Use every thing that is thrown at you to your advantage.  If it is in a desert environment wear tan clothing, and in a forest wear green.  It may not make you invisible but it breaks up your outline.  And finally, NERF FOR FUN.

Prewar Nerf Setup and Preperation-
Its time for that big war, and you have all of your guns ready to go.  One thing that most newer nerfers forget is that Nerfing isn't just about modifying your guns until they are ½ PVC, ¼ Hot Glue, and ¼ Plastic.  When you finish modifying your gun to the extent that you think you are done, you need to play with your gun.  Take it outside and set up and shoot down some targets.  Take the gun and your side arms, and load up like you would at the war, and run around in your backyard and get a feel to how you will run, how you will reload, how you will draw, and even practice unloading into a human sized target.  Fire each gun about 50-100 times (not dry firing) to see if the gun can take the pressure and firing.  Finally, open up each gun that you will be using, and see if there is any damage to the internals after all of these rigorous tests.  Seal each gun up and re-hot glue and tape up everything, just in case.  Pack up your guns carefully and wrap them in bubble wrap and newspaper just to insure nothing gets broken.  Throw in your hot glue gun and many rolls of tape and a pair of scissors, just in case a barrel breaks or your hot glue melts.  If you have two hot glue guns good for you, about a week before you leave for the war, go and buy about 2-3 bags of foam backer rod and make that many darts, wars are dart killers.
Once you get to the place where the war will take place or your hotel room or whatever, set out what clothes you will wear.  Also the day before check on all of your guns again, if they break, you might as well be going out there with a stick.  I would transport my guns in a padded cooler, so that the hot glue doesn't melt, and so that the rattling doesn't break anything on the guns.  If you can drive to the war location early and check the place out if you haven't been there before.  Once again, if you can log onto the forums and look at that wars planning thread.  If there is a backup location check that place out too.  One thing that you should do before each war is get the phone number of whoever is planning the war, just in case you got lost, or the location changed without you knowing it.
This is not a mislim sport.  Do not take it seriously in anyway.  Just go out there and have fun.  If anyone asks you to cover them while reloading, do it, they will repay the favor later.  If someone is planning a rush, join it, unless you are a long range player.  Take all shots you can, and, by no mean cheat!  If you see someone coming and no one else sees him/her tell someone else.  I may have been a noob at Armageddon, but even then I was telling Groove, ShatteredDreams, and CXWQ to cover me and stuff like that.  When you get there, try to be as nice as possible and introduce yourself to anyone you don't know.  If someone needs darts volunteer yours.  Just be nice, and don't go spewing cuss words, unless there is a reason, like bleeding from a gun tap, that just sucks.  Don't give verbal whiplash to anyone, not even for a head shot that broke your safety goggles.  Just get over it, its just a game.  And now that my ranting is over, have fun!
